Augmented reality in the educational context of Basic Education
Main Article Content
Abstract
Children born in the last decade represent the first generation intrinsically imbued with new technologies. Mobile devices are part of their daily lives, with an increasing use in terms of games, participation in social networks and as a learning tool. It is on this last aspect that the school should focus more, enhancing learning supported by digital technologies. Augmented Reality as a technology with great innovative potential, promoting experiences with high levels of motivation and enabling greater student involvement. In this study we seek to characterize Augmented Reality from a conceptual point of view, identify the advantages of its use in Education and provide some platforms and applications that can be used by teachers, in the learning context, to promote the educational success of their students
