A OCDE e a política global de educação o PISA como “big science”

Resumo

Vulgarizado, em 1961, nos Estados Unidos da América (EUA), o conceito de “big science” refere-se à investigação científica em grande escala, com orçamentos importantes, equipas numerosas, instrumentos e laboratórios de grandes dimensões, com produção de uma enorme quantidade de dados, embora muitas vezes com relevância diminuta. O artigo analisa de que forma o Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA), levado a cabo pela Organização para a Cooperação e Desenvolvimento Económico (OCDE), se pode inserir nesta categoria de “big science”. Os resultados encontrados apontam para que o PISA possa ser considerado o primeiro programa que se insere nesta forma de fazer ciência.
