Intergenerational digital literacy: challenges and opportunities for lifelong learning

Abstract
Phenomenon of population ageing leading to intergenerationality issue assumed a new importance and centred on a new social model for ageing societies emerged a new paradigm of intergenerational learning. As it a socio-educational vehicle that promotes the intentional sharing of knowledge between different generations, its’ acknowledged that mutual learning generates benefits for the whole society. Within this context, this article aims to present and analyse three different socio-educational interventions of intergenerational learning with ICT, in non-formal settings and achieve the potential of digital skills to promote intergenerational ties and lifelong learning. At the end achieves a reflective and critical conclusion, highlighting the challenges and opportunities of digital literacy for an intergenerational, continuing and lifelong education.
